NEW YORK, Jan. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Brand new for the Manifest Vegas Women’s Lunch will be a focus on mentorship as well as a male speaker taking the stage for the first time at this event. In its fourth year, the Women’s Lunch will celebrate women in the supply chain logistics spaces in partnership with DHL Supply Chain, Daimler Truck Financial Services, Food Logistics, Supply & Demand Chain Executive and The Blended Pledge on February 12th, 2025, at The Venetian. Manifest Vegas is the only event that brings together industry executives, top venture investors, cutting edge startups and technology leaders that strive to find solutions to critical end-to-end supply chain and logistics disruptions – while identifying breakthrough technologies.

One of the biggest themes of this year’s Women’s Lunch will be mentorship – a study by McKinsey & Company found that women who have mentors are 50% more likely to be promoted than those who do not. This highlights the significant positive impact mentorship can have on female leaders, helping them advance in their careers and achieve leadership positions.

The Women’s Lunch will welcome Tammy Wharton, the CEO & President of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, a council serving 18,000 girls in 30 Ohio counties. Tammy enjoys advocating for the most critical issues to advance the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Joining Tammy on stage will be Michael Ringsdorf, Vice President of Transportation & Logistics at Mary Kay Global. Throughout his career, Michael has been a champion for developing the next generation of leaders in the supply chain – having created a robust internship program that has attracted top-tier supply chain talent from some of the best academic programs in the country.

“Mentors help us dream big—and those dreams shape our future, ” said Wharton. “I see this every day in my work with leaders, but it’s just as inspiring to see how Girl Scouts empower girls to dream boldly and achieve. Investing in mentorship at every stage of life makes a lasting impact!”

Tammy and Michael will both share their inspiring stories and discuss the importance of diversity and mentorship, highlighting how both drive business growth and build a pipeline of future leaders.

While it is called a Women’s Lunch, both women and the men who support them are invited to attend. Also new for the 2025 lunch will be the launch of a mentorship program that uses proprietary technology to connect those looking for mentors with those willing to provide the guidance to make the relationship valuable for both the mentor and the mentee.

Manifest Vegas’ commitment to diversity doesn’t end with the Women’s Lunch. The importance of including different perspectives from the supply chain and logistics community can be seen throughout the entire Manifest Vegas speaker line-up which can be viewed on the website.
