2-Color Advanced Warning System improves aircraft survivability for heavy lift, utility, and attack helicopters

MERRIMACK, N.H., Oct. 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — BAE Systems (LON:BA) has successfully completed the delivery of 400 2-Color Advanced Warning Systems (2CAWS) to the U.S. Army as part of the Limited Interim Missile Warning System (LIMWS) program. The advanced aircraft survivability systems have proven themselves in combat, defeating sophisticated missile threats and protecting Army aviators and airborne soldiers.

These advanced aircraft survivability systems are combat-proven, protecting Army aviators and airborne soldiers.

Under the LIMWS Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) contract, BAE Systems designed, developed, and delivered 2CAWS to protect U.S. Army utility, heavy-lift, and attack helicopters. This solution provides highly effective, next-generation threat detection and warning capabilities that improve aircrews’ survivability. The systems use modern multi-spectral sensors, a high-speed digital backbone, and machine learning algorithms to quickly and accurately detect threats in complex environments, and cue laser-based and expendable countermeasures.

“Protecting U.S. Army helicopters is core to our mission,” said Dave Harrold, vice president and general manager of Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions at BAE Systems. “We’ve worked closely with Army Aviation to provide cutting-edge capabilities that protect crews from evolving threats, provide adversarial overmatch, and enable warfighters to execute missions in contested battlespace.”

2CAWS-equipped aircraft have successfully flown thousands of hours in operational environments. The system builds on the proven missile warning capabilities of BAE Systems’ Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), which is currently fielded on thousands of U.S. Army and international armed forces’ aircraft and has demonstrated its effectiveness and reliability over millions of flight hours.

A leader in next-generation threat warning and countermeasure systems, BAE Systems is actively developing new capabilities. The company has deep expertise in executing critical QRC programs and fielding systems optimized for the size, weight, and power constraints and rigorous operating conditions of rotary-wing aircraft.

Work on the aircraft survivability technology is conducted at the company’s facilities in Huntsville, Alabama, and Merrimack, New Hampshire.

TORRINGTON, Conn., Oct. 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Therap Services, a leading provider of HIPAA-compliant electronic documentation solutions for organizations and agencies in Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS), Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), and the broader human services sectors, offers a Training Management System (TMS) to streamline and simplify the management of staff training and certifications.

Therap’s Training Management System is a solution designed to centralize training-related information. It enables agencies to efficiently track certification expiration dates, maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, and securely store certificates in a single, accessible location. Managing staff training can often be a complex and time-consuming process, particularly in industries where compliance with regulatory standards is critical. TMS addresses these challenges by providing a streamlined, user-friendly system that significantly reduces the administrative burden, allowing agencies to concentrate on delivering high-quality care and support.

With TMS, agencies can effectively manage staff certifications, ensuring that the required training is completed on schedule and certifications are always up to date. By maintaining current certifications, organizations can significantly reduce the risk of non-compliance, which is crucial for both the agency and the individuals it supports. Additionally, TMS improves internal communication by offering clear and timely updates on training schedules, certification requirements, and upcoming deadlines, helping the related parties to stay informed and coordinated in their responsibilities.

In addition to simplifying the administrative aspects of training management, Therap’s TMS also supports organizations in upholding the highest standards of care. By ensuring that staff are consistently trained and certified, agencies can improve the quality and effectiveness of the services they provide, ultimately contributing to better outcomes for the individuals in their care.

Therap’s TMS is more than just a management tool; it is an essential resource for an organization committed to excellence in staff training and certification management.
