Last Lock’s Seamless software platform, API, Core, and retrofit smart locks offer a next-generation access management solution

MADISON, Wis., March 31, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Last Lock, a technology enablement platform that helps organizations integrate next-generation access technology into their products, today announced the launch of its comprehensive access system, which includes its Seamless™ software; Seamless Link API; Core; and Euro, which uses Core and retrofits into European locks.

“Last Lock aims to save companies time and money with innovative solutions for energy harvesting, retrofitability, and Ultra-wideband,” says Last Lock CEO Jack Ryan. “We’re a technology enabler helping companies integrate next-generation access technology into products and applications.”

“By bringing performance and value to the future of the access industry, Last Lock aims to save companies time and money–and reduce frustration–with our innovative solutions for energy harvesting, retrofitability, and Ultra-wideband,” says Last Lock CEO Jack Ryan. “We’re a technology enabler helping companies integrate next-generation access technology into a variety of products and applications.”

Last Lock’s API solution, Seamless Link, allows existing access management or building systems to extend electronic access into interior doors, for which it is usually too difficult or expensive to deploy a traditional access solution. For those without an existing access management solution, Last Lock’s Seamless™ Dashboard securely manages building access, using fobs, phones, and wearables, and enables touchless visitor management, room booking, amenity tracking, and billing.

Last Lock has revolutionized smart locks with the introduction of Core, which fits cutting-edge electronics into a small form factor. Core is packed with features and is easily adapted to existing solutions. The Seamless integration communicates with Core, displaying its data in an intuitive dashboard.

“Last Lock has leapt ahead of the current smart lock market with Core, which includes RFID, NFC, BLE, and Ultra-wideband, then combines this with up to a ten-year battery life,” says Last Lock CPO Alex Mahnke. “Our hardware solves a critical problem, and once it’s installed, the data it gathers about the environment and usage behavior offers valuable insights, which overhauls the antiquated lock and key experience and reduces costs.”

Last Lock’s retrofit smart lock occupies the same shape and size of an existing lock cylinder form factor and enables electronic access without costly installation or wiring. Last Lock systems and hardware can be installed in most mortise, rim, and euro cylinder form factors.

The Last Lock Euro, the company’s first retrofitted integrated unit for commercial and residential use, will be available in May 2025.

Last Lock uses Ultra-wideband technology that allows touch-free unlocking and provides indoor navigation, personnel tracking, and space occupation usage data. Last Lock is SOC 2 Type II Compliant, with security practices in place to protect customer data.

“Last Lock’s holistic access management solution, combining Seamless Link, Seamless Dashboard, and our Core product, will extend electronic access to previously unreachable opportunities,” says Jack Ryan. “The future of this technology extends beyond just locks, and we are excited to explore other applications.”

Worship Ceremony for Yellow Emperor: Global Chinese Gathered to Strengthen Civilization Consensus

Published

ZHENGZHOU, China, April 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — On March 31, 2025, the Ancestor Worship Ceremony of the Yellow Emperor in the Year of Yisi was held in Xinzheng, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. The Chinese from the globe gathered at the Yellow Emperor’s hometown to pray for national rejuvenation and share common hopes of world peace. The grand ceremony was themed “Same Root, Same Ancestor, Same Origin”, paying homage to the Ancestor of Chinese Civilization.

“The Yellow Emperor marks the beginning of Chinese civilization. A series of archaeological discoveries have confirmed that the Yellow Emperor’s era was spanning from the origin to the initial formation of civilization,” explained Wang Wei, former chairman of the Chinese Archaeological Society and director of the Henan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology.

Chen Linchun, chief director of the Ancestor Worship Ceremony, stated that the ceremony contains the codes of Henan civilization: Zheng-Han Ancient City was the capital of the Zheng and Han states during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. The costume designs for this year’s ceremony were inspired by styles from the Western Zhou, Spring and Autumn, and Warring States periods; while the ceremonial music and dance performances were choreographed based on stone carvings, murals, and reliefs unearthed at Henan archaeological sites. “While there were innovations, they were all based on historical and cultural evidence,” he explained.

The Ancestor Worship Ceremony serves as a spiritual bond that unites the Chinese nation. Wen Shanan, Secretary-General of the China-Thailand Cultural Exchange Association and President of the Wen Clan Association of Thailand, said, “As overseas Chinese, we have been promoting people-to-people exchange between the two countries, and we have kept in mind that Henan is our ancestral root.”

Dato’ Seri Ang Lai Hee, a fourth-generation Malaysian Chinese, attended the Ancestor Worship Ceremony. He has long been committed to protecting the heritage of Yellow Emperor culture in Malaysia.

Jason Dane Castleton, an American friend, was deeply moved when he saw the ceremony. He exclaimed, “Such Chinese culture is really amazing.”

Recently, parallel worship ceremonies have been held in Sydney, San Francisco, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and other global cities. As global Chinese communities paid homage to their common ancestor, they not only reconnected with the roots of Chinese civilization but also built bridges for cross-civilization dialogue.

During the event, Zhengzhou Radio and Television Station collaborated with nearly fifty Chinese-language media outlets worldwide to broadcast the Ancestor Worship Ceremony, sharing this significant moment with a global audience.
