Cortechs.ai Launches into the Urologic Oncology Market with Novel Prostate Imaging Solution

SAN DIEGO, May 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Cortechs.ai, a market leader in the quantitative imaging space for over a decade with their flagship product NeuroQuant, is now formally expanding beyond neuroradiology with the widespread commercialization of their prostate MRI solution, OnQ Prostate. OnQ Prostate is FDA-cleared post-processing software that aids radiologists in their interpretation of prostate MRI by supporting improved detection of clinically significant prostate cancer. This is accomplished using an advanced diffusion-weighted imaging method called Restriction Spectrum Imaging (RSI), exclusively licensed to Cortechs.ai. RSI, initially developed for brain cancer and utilized in NeuroQuant Brain Tumor, increases the conspicuity and specificity of restricted diffusion, a hallmark characteristic of aggressive cancer cells. Studies on RSI in the prostate have shown improved MR-based cancer detection and correlation with underlying histopathology compared to conventional imaging.

Cortechs.ai is expanding into the urologic oncology market with OnQ Prostate, an innovative prostate MRI solution.

Up until now, use of OnQ Prostate has been limited to a small number of top-tier academic institutions and imaging centers to validate clinical utility and gather feedback. Now, with the latest version of the software recently released, Cortechs.ai is excited to begin actively selling through its established commercial channel.

For example, urologists may use OnQ Prostate images to assist in patient-selection for biopsy and treatment, planning of those procedures, and simplified communication with their patients. OnQ Prostate has the imminent potential to elevate multiple clinical workflows that use MRI throughout the prostate cancer care pathway from initial screening to after treatment, bridging the gaps between radiologists, referring physicians, and patients.

Odense University Hospital selects RayStation

STOCKHOLM, April 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ) announces that Odense University Hospital (OUH), which is part of the South Denmark Region, has placed an order for RayStation®*.

The radiotherapy center at OUH is known for being at the forefront of automated solutions to provide high-quality care in an efficient way, including the ability to automatically generate treatment plans.

With the introduction of RayStation, the clinic is now taking the next step by further developing automation to cover all aspects of the treatment planning process-from initial planning to finalized treatment plans. RayStation was chosen after an extensive evaluation of the market, where the decisive factor was to find a system that would enable OUH to continue developing new automated methods.

RaySearch has had a strong focus on automation for a long time. RayStation offers several approaches for automated planning, both using machine learning techniques but also more conventional automated planning algorithms. In the upcoming version of RayStation, a new algorithm for automated optimization, which is still under development and led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the US, will be included. The objective of the implementation project at Odense’s radiotherapy center is to analyze the advantages of different auto-planning approaches and to clinically apply the approach that is best suited for each tumor site.
