City of Boston Partners with ParkMobile to Launch a New Version of the ParkBoston App

BOSTON, July 18, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — ParkMobile, the leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North America and now part of the EasyPark Group, announced today a partnership with the City of Boston’s Transportation Department to launch a new and improved ParkBoston app on August 15. The new city-branded app, powered by ParkMobile, will replace the current version of the ParkBoston app offering an enhanced user experience and more functionality. ParkBoston users will be able to easily pay for parking right from their mobile device in over 7,000 spots across the city and in any other location in North America where ParkMobile is accepted. Current ParkMobile users can also use that app to pay for parking in Boston.

With the launch in the City of Boston, ParkMobile expands its presence in Massachusetts, where there are already almost 500,000 users of the app. ParkMobile is widely available across the state in cities like Amherst, Holyoke, Northampton, and Somerville, as well as on-campus at the University of Massachusetts and Bunker Hill Community College. Beyond the state, ParkMobile can also be used to pay for parking in many New England cities like Burlington, VT, Greenwich, CT, Stamford, CT, Portsmouth, NE, Bar Harbor, ME, and Hanover, NH. Across the US, ParkMobile is available in over 500 cities and 125 universities.

The ParkBoston app is available for both iPhone and Android or can be accessed on the web at https://park.boston.gov/. Those with the old version of the ParkBoston app will have to update the app to the new version in the App Store or turn on auto-update so the app is automatically updated on launch day. The old version will no longer work after August 15. To pay for parking using the new ParkBoston app, users will need to create an account, enter the zone posted on the stickers and signs around the parking spot, choose the duration of time they wish to park, and touch the “start parking” button. The ParkBoston app will send alerts when the parking session is about to expire so a user can extend their time right from the app. Those who do not want to create an account can check out as a guest on the park.boston.gov website.

Key highlights for Q3 2024

Revenue increased 18% to $6,656,664 compared to $5,634,594 in Q3 2023.Recurring services revenue increased 23% to $5,761,966 from $4,678,154 the prior year Q3.Gross margin increased to 48.2% from 41.7% in Q2 2024 due to the shift in product mix.SaaS revenues grew 9% organically.Operating expenses have grown 7% compared to prior year’s Q3 as acquisition integration efforts continue.Adjusted EBITDA remained positive increasing to $575,889 compared to $296,515 in Q2, 2024 and $509,762 in prior year Q3.

NASA Awards Test Operations Contract

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — NASA has selected Sierra Lobo, Inc. of Fremont, Ohio, to provide for test operations, test support, and technical system maintenance activities at NASA’s Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

The NASA Stennis Test Operations Contract is fixed-price, level-of-effort contract that has a value of approximately $47 million. The performance period begins July 1, 2025, and extends three years, with a one-year base period and two one-year option periods.

The contract will provide test operations support for customers in the NASA Stennis test complex. It also will cover the operation and technical systems maintenance of the high-pressure industrial water, high-pressure gas, and cryogenic propellant storage support areas, as well as providing welding, fabrication, machining, and component processing capabilities.

NASA Stennis is the nation’s largest propulsion test site, with infrastructure to support projects ranging from component and subscale testing to large engine hot fires. Researchers from NASA, other government agencies, and private industry utilize NASA Stennis test facilities for technology and propulsion research and developmental projects.
